I spent most of it helping a friend find some birthday presents in the town centre, specifically the indoor shopping area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My best purchase however was the complete Series 1 of Doctor Who DVD. I haven&#8217;t seen it for quite sometime, so I am so excited to see it again!!! Perhaps I should make a blog&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft alignnone size-medium wp-image-1188\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/patchysadventures.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/08\/hastings9.jpg?w=182\" alt=\"Hastings9\" class=\"wp-image-1188\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">No coffee shop has a size for me<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/patchysadventures.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/08\/hastings5.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Hastings5\" class=\"wp-image-1184\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After all the shopping we found ourselves at a Costa. I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. I had to share it though, the mug was bigger than I was and each marshmallow was as big as my head. So, maybe not the best idea I&#8217;ve ever had but it did warm me up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Costa it was straight back to the car, but not until I got a picture with the pier and the beach. Someone suggested we go up to where the Castle is and have a walk. Spending even more time in the rain, which I wasn&#8217;t too thrilled about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/patchysadventures.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/08\/hastings3.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Hastings3\" class=\"wp-image-1182\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We ended up in the Smugglers Caves. It&#8217;s caves underground with mannequins dressed as smugglers and various activities. They chart the basic history of the caves from smugglers using it to World War 2 when the caves were used as air raid shelters but they focus heavily on the smugglers. Personally, smugglers aren&#8217;t a particular interest to me, but it was fun going through imagining what it was like back in the day. (And it was dry)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/patchysadventures.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/10\/sainsburys.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Sainsburys\" class=\"wp-image-1271\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After that we went home, although our driver got lost and decided to take us on a tour of a Sainsburys&#8217; car park. She didn&#8217;t want the occupants of the other car to know, but I&#8217;m a telltale (I run a blog, that&#8217;s my excuse, wouldn&#8217;t be interesting otherwise), so I got photo evidence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Re-posted from my wordpress blog.
