The Doctor Who Premiere in Sheffield 2018

Anyone remember the Doctor Who Premiere way back in September? Well, I was there!!! I got tickets!!!! It was so exciting, seeing all the actors and people involved in the new series of Doctor Who with many other Doctor Who fans. I got to Sheffield town centre around 12:30 where a queue was already starting, although it was short we decided to join it after visiting Costa because we were thirsty. The gates opened at 1:30 and we had to go through security checks, the guards were amused by my being there. I’m glad I put a smile on their faces. We waited for about an hour until people turned up on the Red Carpet and even longer until they walked passed me.

I was positioned behind a woman and a guy dressed as the Tenth Doctor, everyone stopped to do autographs with them and I managed to get pictures with many of them, the 13th Doctor Jodie Whittaker, Chris Chibnal, Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole but I didn’t manage to get a picture with Mandip Gil as she was whipped passed us pretty quickly by her bodyguard (I think that’s who they were).

Jodie Whittaker was the last one passed us and she too was being whipped around because they were starting the cinema screening of ‘The Woman who fell to Earth’ late. But Jodie Whittaker tried to stick around as long as she could, standing in front of us and saying ‘I’ll stand here for as long as I can and you can take photos’. I thought that was very kind of her.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, especially because it was so close to where I lived. I was so happy and felt privileged to have gone and here are the rest of the photos from the day.
