Whilst traveling in Scotland during 2011, I visited the Scottish Crannog centre next to Loch Tay.
The Crannog that I saw that day was built in 1997 and I got to go inside. It was cosy and warm as there was a roaring fire going in the centre. It was perfect, especially as it was raining that day.
The rain did stop me from having ago at some of the crafts, as they were based outside. There was also mini exhibition of artifacts that were found during excavations of the area.
Unfortunately the Crannog I went to see, and in the photo, burnt down in 2021. However they seem to have rebuilt, so perhaps I should plan return trip.
